Dr. Özgür Koca is an Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Philosophy at Bayan Islamic Graduate School. His research explores the intersection of Islamic theology (kalām), philosophy (falsafa), and spirituality (taṣawwuf), with a focus on how these traditions developed across classical and post-classical periods and how they respond to the intellectual challenges of modernity.

Dr. Koca, a recipient of several teaching awards, is recognized for his excellence in teaching and student engagement. He continues to teach highly regarded courses on Islamic Ethics, Sufism, and Metaphysics, inspiring students and contributing to contemporary Islamic thought.

He is the author of several influential works which have been translated into Arabic, French, Bosnian, Persian, and Turkish. His publications include:
