Nadeen Mustafa

VP of Development

The Quran teaches us that “those who spend in charity will be richly rewarded” (75:10). 

Committed to the “business of barakah” and with over 10 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Nadeen is a fundraiser, economist, and student of philanthropy. 

A Houstonian, born and raised, Nadeen earned her BA in International Development, Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of International Affairs in Economic Development and Management from Columbia University in New York.  Additionally, Nadeen received her Leadership Certificate from the Rice University, Center for Philanthropy, Leadership Institute for Non-Profit Executives and is also a Certified Fundraising Executive having raised over $50 million dollars as a consultant for organizations like Houston Community College, Rothko Chapel, Aldine Education Foundation, and the Bridge Over Troubled Waters to name a few. 

Most recently Nadeen served as the Senior Regional Director of Development at Zaytuna College for four years helping raise over $10 million in major gifts, planning and executing over 50 private and community events, and maintaining over 530 donor relationships. She now works as a consultant with Barakah Group helping raise funds for nonprofits all over the country.

Nadeen is a wife, daughter, and mother of, her real bosses, 7-year-old daughter, Jannah and 3 year old Hamza.
